Unscrew and remove the engine oil
fill cap on the valve cover. Pour in
the oil slowly and carefully so you do
not spill any. Clean up any spills
immediately. Spilled oil could
damage components in the engine
compartment.
Reinstall the engine oil fill cap, and
tighten it securely. Let the engine
warm up and turn off the engine, let
it sit for approximately 3 minutes,
then check the oil level on the
engine oil dipstick. Do not fill above
the upper mark; you could damage
the engine.
Always use a synthetic motor oil that
meets the ACEA specifications, and
is the proper weight as shown in the
following chart. When using
synthetic oil, you must follow the oil
and filter change intervals given in
the maintenance schedule.
You can select the proper ACEA/
SAE viscosity oil for your vehicle
according to this chart:
NOTE: 0W-30 oil is formulated to
improve fuel economy.
It is highly recommended that you
use genuine Honda Motor Oil or
0W-30 synthetic motor oil meeting
the minimum specification: ‘‘ACEA
A1/B1,’’ ‘‘ACEA A3/B3,’’ or ‘‘ACEA
A5/B5.’’
