With the driver’s door open and the
key in the ignition, the master door
lock switch is disabled. It is not
disabled if the driver’s door is closed.
If you try to lock an open driver’s
door by pulling the lock tab rearward
with the outside handle pulled, the
tabs on all doors pop out.
When you lock the doors and the
tailgate with the key or the remote
transmitter, all outside turn signals
and both indicators in the instrument
panel flash three times to verify the
doors and the tailgate are locked and
the security system has set (see
page
).
The security system activates after
you lock the doors and the tailgate
with the lock tab on the driver’s door
or the master door lock switch (see
page
).
To lock the passenger’s door when
getting out of the vehicle, pull the
lock tab rearward and close the door.
To lock the driver’s door, remove the
key from the ignition switch, pull and
hold the outside door handle, and
pull the lock tab rearward or push
the top of the master door lock
switch, then close the door.
