Inserting the Inflow Tube Set
(See Fig. 5-10, Tube set elements) The inflow tube set consists of three tube sec-
tions, a Y-connector

and two bag spikes

er wheel section

, and hysteroscope section

are used to connect the tube sections to the fluid bags.
The luer lock connector

connects the hysteroscope tube with the hystero-
scope.
Open outer packaging
1. Inflow tube set - To be carried out by non-sterile technician:
Open outer packaging of the inflow tube set.
A sterile nurse then removes the inner tube set package and opens it.
Connect to hysteroscope
2. To be carried out by sterile technician:
Keep the blue luer lock connector

in the sterile area and hand the tube
end with the bag spikes
