2.2. Straighten the handlebar
•
Loosen the side screws (1) on the stem with
a suitable Allen key.
•
Turn the stem into the desired position.
•
Tighten the side screws (1) with 5-6 Nm
.
•
Lift the vehicle at the front of the frame so that the front wheel is no longer on
the ground.
•
Turn the handlebar to the left and right. The front wheel must follow the
movement. This simulated steering operation should not feel stiff.
•
If the steering does not turn easily, you have tightened the Ahead screw too
tightly. Loosen the screws (1), loosen screw (2) and then retighten (1)
•
If the stem twists against the front wheel when moving, you have not tight
-
ened the Ahead screw enough. Loosen the screws (1), loosen screw (2) and then
retighten (1).
The stem is a safety-relevant component. Make sure that the side screws
(1) are tightened with 5-6 Nm. Otherwise, there is a risk of accident!
2.3.
Adjusting the saddle height
•
The correct saddle height is reached when
your leg is almost straight when putting the
ball of your foot on the pedal. The crank arms
are thereby aligned vertically.
•
To check the saddle height, sit on the vehicle
and lean against a wall, for example.
To change the saddle height, proceed as follows:
