• Pull the brake lever and insert the rear side of
the transport lock between the carrier plates
of the corresponding brake calliper. If the
transport lock still fits between the pads, they
are not worn out.
• Alternatively, you can put the removed pads
into the small notch in the transport lock.
The pads are worn out when they fit into
the notch.
6.8.3. Checking the brake discs
The brake discs must be replaced if they have a thickness of less than 1.8 mm.
The thickness can be determined using a calliper, for example.
6.9. Adjusting the headlight range
The headlight should be set so that it does not dazzle other road users.
We recommend checking the glare with a second person while riding in the dark.
To adjust the tilt of the headlight, use a suitable
Allen key to unscrew the light bracket and set
a new angle. Then tighten the screw only so far,
allowing you to still correct the tilt of the light by
hand with greater force.
7. Cleaning and care
• If necessary, clean the vehicle with water and a soft sponge or soft brush.
• The Gates Carbon Drive Belt is also cleaned with water and does not need to be
lubricated.
• The contacts of the battery and the battery holder on the frame can be wiped
with a damp cloth. Wait until the contacts are dry before reattaching the battery.
