Digital discs whose speci

cations are established and promulgated by “DVD+RW
Alliance”, which is an industrial group different from “DVD Forum”. +R is record-
able, and +RW is rewritable. They are referred to as DVD+R and DVD+RW. DL
stands for Double Layer (2-layer structure). The storage capacity of DL is 1.8 times
that of the 1-layer-structure disc.
