If damage is suspected, check the "Before Returning for Repair"
section before contacting your authorized Hioki distributor or
reseller.
Before Returning for Repair
If the instrument is not operating correctly, check the following:

screen even after

pressed.
The battery is drained.
Replace with new batteries.

inserted incorrectly.
Reinsert the batteries

Zero adjustment
cannot be

on the screen.
The fuse is burned out.
Replace with a new fuse.

When the model 9772
Pin Type Lead is used,
the shorting method is
incorrect.
Insert the side with the mark
(engraved) into the holes on
the zero adjustment board.

Pressing the

or
V
key has no
effect.
The comparator function
is turned on.
Use the
COMP
key to turn
off the comparator function.
Pressing the
MEMO
key has no
effect.
The data is not retained. Use the
HOLD
key to retain
the data.
Nothing is
displayed on the
screen even after
the
READ
key is
pressed.
This key cannot be used
when no data has been
stored.
