7.1.15.2 Changing the filter
1. Open the door of the service compartment.
2. Swing the VC 5 forward and open the two latches.
3. Lift the vacuum cleaner top section away from the waste material container.
4. To remove the filter frame, turn the filter latch through 180 °.
5. Remove the filter along with the filter frame.
6. Remove all dust from the seal and from the filter frame holder.
7. Set the filter frame on a new filter.
8. Fit the filter frame into the holder for the filter frame.
9. Lock the filter frame into position with the filter latches.
10. Fit the vacuum cleaner top section onto the waste material container and close the two catches.
11. Swing the VC 5 back into its original position.
12. Close the door of the service compartment.
7.1.15.3 Changing the dust bag
1. When you change the bag, open the "Service" menu, select the Service vacuum cleaner bag operation
and reset the counter.
2. Open the door of the service compartment.
3. Swing the VC 5 forward and open the two latches.
4. Lift the vacuum cleaner top section away from the waste material container.
5. Take out the dust bag and remove the holder for the dust bag.
6. Push the holder for the dust bag on to a new dust bag.
7. Secure the holder with the dust bag to the ribs of the waste material container.
8. Fit the vacuum cleaner top section onto the waste material container and close the two catches.
9. Swing the VC 5 back into position and exit the Service menu.
10. Close the door of the service compartment.
7.1.15.4 Changing the filter mat
1. Press the button to release the discharged-air filter and remove the filter support.
2. Remove the filter mat from the filter support.
3. Attach a new filter mat to the filter support.
4. Fit the filter support to the appliance.
7.2 Operation, wireless remote control
7.2.1 Switching system to passive mode
The wireless remote control automatically switches the Jaibot to emergency stop when the battery's state
of charge drops too low or when the wireless remote control is not used for a lengthy period of time. The
wireless remote control also switches itself off after 8 hours of uninterrupted use. Approximately 3 minutes
before the remote control switches itself off, an acoustic signal sounds and the red LED starts flashing.

To restart the wireless remote control, press the green start button.
Observe the procedures for safe starting of the wireless remote control.
If the operator moves outside the operating range of the wireless remote control (>20 m), a passive
stop takes place.
7.2.2 Inserting the battery
1. Push the battery against the contacts in the housing.
2. Press the other end of the battery into the housing.
7.2.3 Removing the battery
The battery can be removed at any time. If possible, remove the battery when the wireless remote
control is switched off.
After every battery change the remote control has to be restarted and the wireless connection re-
established.
