7.1.14.2 Fitting an accessory tool
1. Bring the Jaibot to the service position.
Do not attempt to change the accessory tool unless the machine is in the service position.
Check that you have selected the correct accessory tool (type, length and diameter) for the drilling
project.
Be sure to start each drilling job with a new accessory tool. Follow the instructions as they appear
on the tablet for timely tool changes.
2. Check that the connection end of the accessory tool is clean. Clean the connection end if necessary.
3. Grease the connection end.
4. Push the accessory tool into the chuck as far as it will go (until it engages).
5. Check that the accessory tool is held securely.
7.1.14.3 Setting forward or reverse rotation

Set the forward/reverse switch to forward rotation.
➥ The control switch is locked when the forward/reverse switch is in the middle position (safety lock).
An interlock prevents switching while the motor is running.
7.1.14.4 Drilling

Set the function selector switch to “Hammer drilling” .
7.1.14.5 Calibrating the Jaibot
1. Open the Jaibot application on the PLC 400 and enter your Hilti ID to obtain access to the drilling project
data.
Be sure to select the orientation and positioning of the PLT 300 to utilize as big a work zone as
possible.
2. For station setting based on existing control points, check for possible obstacles or restrictions such as
pillars, columns or walls. This helps ensure maximum visibility of the prism on the robot arm.
3. Follow the instructions as they are issued by the Jaibot application.
Station setting is project-specific, either by automatic scanning or by manual scanning of the
existing control points.
4. Open the drilling project on the tablet and select the appropriate job file.
5. Proceed with station setting of the PLT 300 at the relevant control points. You can do this either manually,
working with floor marks and using the reflector rod, or automatically working with wall reflectors.
6. As soon as station setting of the PLT 300 has completed, the position of the PLT 300 relative to the room
is displayed.
➥ Positioning of the Jaibot then starts.
7. To ensure optimum visibility of the prism in the starting position, position the Jaibot with the back toward
the PLT 300.
8. Select the approximate position of the Jaibot on the tablet.
➥ The PLT will now search for the prism on the robot arm.
➥ As soon as the green laser beam has found the prism, orientation measurement starts.
9. Follow the instructions as they are issued on the tablet.
10. Maneuver the Jaibot to the initial position in accordance with the drilling map.
➥ The drillholes reachable on the basis of the position appear on the tablet.
11. Use the switch to adjust the telescopic mast to the optimum height by observing the indicator (= green
drilling circle) that appears on the tablet.
Make sure that the switch is set to the drilling / working position.
Use the "Start drilling job" rocker switch to start the drilling operation.
12. At the end of the drilling series, move the Jaibot to the next position and repeat the drilling operation.
