PCL 600
Operators Manual
v 2.0

6 Profiling
The PCL 600 can run in two cutting modes:
Manual selection of cutting data, single parts or nested parts.
Automatic cutting of data files that have been added to the auto cut list.
6.1
Manual selection of cutting data
The machine is capable of cutting files created in the ProCAM MDI module (Manual Data Input) and files
exported from other design programs using the ProCAD connection. Data files containing a single part
(GPD) or multiple nested parts (TAF) can be added using the ‘Cutting’ menu in the menu bar. Files selected
in this manner will appear in the auto cut list as a single, temporary file with a default name. Manually
selected files are loaded and cut directly, whereas
when adding files to the auto cut list using the ‘Add’
button, several files can be loaded and cut one after
the other. When manually selecting the GPD or TAF
file in the ‘Cutting’ menu the window shown here on
the right will appear. The ‘Ship’ field corresponds to
the project name in ProCAM. Clicking on the ‘LIST’
button next to the field opens the file browser in the
C:dnc directory.
If you have chosen a TAF file from the ‘Cutting’ menu a slightly different window will open with a list of the
available TAF files in the nest job and more information about the material including the profile type, material,
length and status.
