2.3.3 Electrical System
1. Heating system
The melting tank, heating hose, and dispensing nozzle assembly belong to the
electrical heating system of applicator HS2510-N.
The heaters of melting tank are installed at the bottom of the tank, the hose is used of
nickel-chromium wire wound on stainless steel pipe for heating, The nozzle assembly
adopts a cartridge type heater buried inside the body of the nozzle.
And the temperature control of <(K) CA> type temperature sensor (RTD) is used to
detect the temperature, and then transfer the signals to the temperature controller, it
will decide to heat or not accordingly.
There is a mechanical temperature controller set inside the applicator. The temperature value has
been set before shipment, please do not change the value unless by the
qualified personnel
.
This controller is also to prevent heaters from being burnt while overheating or control system is
broken.
2. Temperature Controls
Temperature control system is divided into two individual parts, the PID temperature
controller, and mechanical temperature controller. Both shown by “
℃
” mode.
When the main power is turned on, the temperature control system will automatically
check inner circuit, checking relay and RTD are normal or not. And this system will
start all temperature controllers in order.
(1) P.I.D. Temperature Controller
A PID temperature controller is a temperature controller that combines
Proportional, Integral and Derivative. It is an accurate device in which signal
sent from RTD, after being controlled proportionally and compared with the
preset temperature, and this keeps the practical temperature close to the preset
value. By the integral control, calculating the difference between the practical
values (PV) and the setting value (SV), and then decrease the differentiation
value between them, making this value tend to be zero. To solve the problem
of possible overheat, esp., when the system is keeping up warmth, the so
called derivative method should be applied in controlling. Whenever the
temperature exceeds expected value, the derivative controlling will check and
control the increasing or decreasing rate of the heating components
’
temperature.
(2) Mechanical Temperature Controller
In the mechanical temperature controller, a temperature detective bar full of
liquor is applied to detect the temperature of the heating system. When the
