Problem Cause Correction
Faulty gas valve. Check gas valve.
Oil heating
too slow. Low gas
pressure. Have gas pressure checked.
Wire(s) loose. Tighten wire(s).
Burnt or charred
wire connection. Replace wire and clean connectors.
Oil over-
heating. Programming
wrong. Check temperature setting in the program mode.
Faulty PC board. Replace control board if heat indicator stays on past ready
temperature.
Faulty tempera-
ture probe. Check probe calibration and replace if temperature probe
is off ± 5°.
Faulty gas valve Check gas valve.
Oil foaming
or boiling
over top of
vat. Water in oil. At end of cook cycle, drain and clean vat, add fresh oil.
Improper or bad
oil. Use recommended oil.
Improper filtering. Refer to filtering procedures in Operator’s Manual.
Cold zone (bot-
tom of vat) full of
crumbs. Filter oil.
Improper rinsing
after cleaning the
vat. Refer to procedure on filtering the oil.
Oil will not
drain from
vat. Drain valve
clogged with
crumbs. Open valve, use straight white brush to force crumbs
through drain valve.
Faulty actuator. Replace actuator per .
Drain trough
clogged. Open valve, use straight white brush to force crumbs
through drain valve.
Oil leaking
through
drain valve. Obstruction in
drain. Remove obstruction.
Faulty drain
valve. Adjust drain valve on actuator motor. Replace drain valve.
Vat is
under-
filled. Locations with
RTI, valve is
stuck open. The RTI system can be disconnected until RTI repairs the
valve.
