2 General application instructions
The force transducers are suitable for measuring tensile and compressive
forces. Because they provide highly accurate static and dynamic force meas­
urements, they must be handled very carefully. Particular care must be taken
when transporting and installing the devices. Dropping or knocking the trans­
ducer may cause permanent damage.
Force transducers U10M have a metric internal thread and force transducers
U10S have an internal thread to UN/UNF standard.
The specifications on Page 31 list the permissible limits for mechanical,
thermal and electrical stress. It is essential that these are taken into account
when planning the measuring set‐up, during installation and, ultimately, during
operation.
