CAUTION 1: MOUNTING HARDWARE MUST BE CLEAN
AND DRY TO PREVENT EXCESSIVE
PRELOAD OF THE MOUNTING FLANGE.
CAUTION 2: TIGHTEN NUTS EVENLY TO AVOID HUB
DAMAGE.
(7) Torque the 1/2 inch propeller mounting studs (dry) in
accordance with Table 3-1, Figure 3-1, and Figure 3-18.
(8) If required by the aircraft maintenance manual, safety
all mounting studs with 0.032 inch (0.81 mm) minimum
diameter stainless steel wire or equivalent aircraft
safety cable and associated hardware (two studs for
each safety). Refer to Figure 3-6.
(a) If the propeller is removed between overhaul
intervals, mounting studs may be reused if they are
not damaged or corroded.
