Locking your Handheld Computer
You can lock your handheld computer so that you need to
enter your password to operate it.
Tip:
If you lock your handheld computer, you must enter the
exact password to re-activate your unit. If you forget the
password, you need to perform a hard reset to resume using
your handheld computer. Performing a hard reset deletes all
the records in your unit; however, you can restore all
synchronized data at the next HotSync operation. Refer to
Performing a Hard Reset in Chapter 7 for more information.
To lock your handheld computer with a password:
1.
Perform a HotSync operation to synchronize the data between
your handheld computer and your computer.
2.
Assign a Password. Refer to Assigning a Password on page 5-16.
3.
Tap Lock & Turn Off.
