Using the Jog Wheel and Auxiliary Button
The built-in applications, such as the Application Launcher, Address
Book, Date Book, Memo Pad, and To Do List, have been designed as
one-hand
applications. These applications allow you to hold the
computer in one hand, and operate the unit with the same hand.
Figure 2-9. Jog Wheel
The Jog Wheel on the side of your HandEra handheld can be used to
help navigate through an application. Rotating the wheel up or down
scrolls up or down through a list or table. Pressing the Jog Wheel
selects an entry. To change the default settings, refer to Appendix A,
Preferences.
The
Auxiliary
button is immediately above the Jog Wheel. The
Auxiliary button responds by default as an Escape character. By
default, the Auxiliary button exits the current action and returns you
to the previous form, dialog, or event. To change the default settings,
refer to Appendix A, Preferences.
Tip:
You can customize these buttons to perform different
functions. Tap on Side Buttons in the Preferences panel for
details.
