Chapter 5 Troubleshooting an IX1000

ON (green)
The system is powered on.
If an AC power module is inserted in the IX1000 but the PWR LED does not light up,
check whether:
z
The power cable is connected correctly.
z
The power supply meets the requirement of the IX1000.
z
The power module is in position.
If no error is found, the power module may be faulty. In this case, contact H3C technical
support to replace the power module.
5.2.2 Replacing a Power Module
Caution:

IX1000 supports the in-service insertion and removal of power modules.
z
When installing or replacing a power module in the case that the power supply is
connected, pay attention to the operation method and electricity safety. It is
forbidden to touch any exposed conductor, terminal, or position where “dangerous
voltage” is marked in products. Otherwise, personal injuries may occur.
1) Wear an ESD-preventive wrist strap and remove the input cable from the power
socket.
2) As shown in
, hold the ring handle with the right thumb, pull hard the
spring clip in the direction of arrow 1 with the index finger, and pull the power
module to be replaced in the direction of arrow 2 until the power module is
removed from the chassis.
