Chapter 1 Product Overview
1.1 Introduction
Neocean IX1000 (hereinafter referred to as IX1000) is a brand new storage product
released by Hangzhou H3C Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as H3C). As a
key component of H3C’s Neocean auto-sensing network storage framework, it is
powerful, reliable, and easy to manage, and delivers superior performance. All these
features enable it to provide users with cost-effective network storage solutions.
IX1000 is designed for:

Small and medium-sized enterprises. IX1000 can be used for databases,
file-related services, streaming applications, digitalized monitoring, system/file
backup/restoration, and low-cost remote backup.

Large organizations and branches. IX1000 can be used for system/file
backup/restoration and remote data centralization/distribution.
1.2 Product Overview
1.2.1 Appearance
An IX1000 consists of a cabinet, hot-swappable power modules, and hot-swappable
disks.
