7.7 Motor-driven daytime release
(only active when the seal is broken)
In the as-delivered condition, the motor-driven daytime release is not activated. To activate the
motor-driven daytime release, the seal and the board behind it must be pierced.
Termination of suitability for fire doors and smoke protection doors.
Do not penetrate the seal and board on fire/smoke protection doors.
When the seal is broken, the permit for use at fire and smoke protection doors is invalidated.
The forth digit of the classification code then changes to:

Before penetrating the board, ensure that the lock is de-energised!
Penetrate the seal and board using a suitable tool, e.g. with a mini screwdriver.
Once the power supply has been restored, the lock reboots. The function “Motor-driven daytime
release” can then be used.
The latchbolt now remains retracted for as long as a signal is applied in addition to the power supply
(+24 V DC Pin 02 and GND Pin 01) at the control input (Pin 03/pink). The latchbolt is only extended
again after the signal drops out.
If a voltage loss occurs during the motor-driven daytime release, the points described under
“7.6 Voltage loss during motor-driven operation”, page 55 apply.
If a control signal continues to be applied after the power supply is restored, the latchbolt is
retracted again, even if the lock has in the meantime been moved to the “locked position”, e.g. via
the locking cylinder.
With a blocked latchbolt, the lock attempts to reach the “locked position” 3 times at a period of 1 s.
If this is not possible, the lock indicates an interference. The red LED lights ups – see
“9. Troubleshooting”, page 59.
