Installation
3.1 Preparatory work and installation situation
Before starting the installation, check that all the required products are complete and
functional.
Correctly mount/deburr profile cutouts / hardware drill holes / cable bushings in accordance
with Chapter 3.4, page 44 or the relevant enclosed manual.
Thoroughly remove swarf.
Damage to the electronics possible caused by a short circuit.
Make sure the lock recess is free of swarf and clean!
Retract the connecting cable on the secured side of the door. Take care not to kink or bend the
cable in the process. Provide for a sufficiently large cable loop (~50 mm).
Protect the connecting cable against abrasion.
(Recommendation: use protective hose B 5490 0308)
Provide a cable disconnection point in the area of the cable link to make it easier
to remove the door.
Max. cable length from the lock to the control unit/junction box is 10 m (length of pre-assembled
cable). In addition, larger cable cross-sections may be required to prevent voltage drops on the
connecting cable (see below figure).
