6.1 Programming of hold-open time
To adapt the motor-driven lock to the on-site situation and customer requirements, the hold-open
time can be adjusted. The hold-open time defines the time in which the latchbolt is held in the
“retracted” position after being fully retracted by the motor.
The locks are supplied with a hold-open time of 5 s by default. This time may be e. g. too short for
accessibility in order to pass through the door. In this case, the hold-open time should be adjusted.
The hold-open time can be adjusted as follows:
Adjustment range: 3 to 30 s
Step range:
1 s
Factory setting: 5 s
Programming the hold-open time:
1. Open the door and make sure it cannot be opened and closed accidentally!
Turn off daytime release.
2 Retract the latchbolt via the locking cylinder at least 3 times and then extend to the latch position
again. The lock is in service mode and the blue LED lights up.
3. Turn the key back to the removal position and operate the lever handle to obtain the required
hold-open time. An actuation corresponds to a hold-open time of 1 s
(e.g. five actuations = hold-open time of 5 s).
4. Repeat step 2 to confirm the hold-open time of the short-term release.
The lock is in normal mode and the blue LED goes out.
The service mode or programming can only be exit without saving the data if the lever handle has
not been operated yet and using the locking cylinder, the latchbolt has been retracted and extended
three times.
