10. Press panel feeder ON button (see Figure 39)
to turn motor
ON. Button should illuminate.
Panel feeder motor should start up and run
smoothly without any problems or unusual
noises.
11. Press flush trimmer ON button (see Figure 39)
to turn motor
ON. Button should illuminate.
Flush trimmer motor should start up and run
smoothly without any problems or unusual
noises.
12. Press Emergency Stop button (see
Figure 39). All buttons should darken, and
their respective motors should turn
OFF.
Note: The only machine functions that should
still be in operation are glue pot heating ele-
ment and thermoregulator display.
13. WITHOUT resetting Emergency Stop button,
press each ON button one at a time.
— If no ON buttons illuminate or motors turn
ON, the Emergency Stop button safety
feature is working correctly. Proceed to
Step 14.
— If any ON buttons illuminate or motors turn
ON, immediately turn master power switch
OFF and disconnect machine from power.
The Emergency Stop button safety fea-
ture is not working correctly. This safety
feature must work correctly before pro-
ceeding with regular operations. Call Tech
Support for help.
14. Twist Emergency Stop button to reset it.
15. Open rear access cover, then press each ON
button one at a time.
— If no ON buttons illuminate or motors
turn
ON, the rear access door safety limit
switch is working correctly. Proceed to
Step 16.
— If any ON buttons illuminate or motors turn
ON, immediately turn master power switch
OFF and disconnect machine from power.
The rear access door safety limit switch is
not working correctly. This safety feature
must work correctly before proceeding
with regular operations. Call Tech Support
for help.
16. Open panel feeder, then press each ON but-
ton one at a time.
— If no ON buttons illuminate or motors turn
ON, the feeder panel safety limit switch
is working correctly. Congratulations! The
Test Run is complete.
— If any ON buttons illuminate or motors
turn
ON, immediately turn master power
switch
OFF and disconnect machine
from power. The feeder panel safety
limit switch is not working correctly. This
safety feature must work correctly before
proceeding with regular operations. Call
Tech Support for help.
9. Watch thermoregulator display. When upper
number (see
Figure 38 on Page 31) reaches
180° C (356° F), press glue spindle ON but-
ton (see
Figure 39) to turn motor ON. Button
should illuminate. Glue spindle motor should
start up and run smoothly without any prob-
lems or unusual noises.
Note: Glue pot will take 20–30 minutes to
reach 180° C (356° F).
