Chapter 4 REGISTRATION MARK SETTINGS AND DETECTION
4.11 Axis Adjustment
When AXIS has been selected for the registration mark mode, axis adjustment is performed manually. If 2, 3,
or 4 points are speci
fi
ed on the X and Y axes, adjustment is performed for the angle of the coordinate axes
(X-axis and Y-axis tilt) and the distance (line segment length).

: This is the center point of axial eccentricity. The X and Y axes are tilted from this point.
Point 1
: This the reference point used for axis adjustment. For 3-point and 4-point reading, position this point at the
intersection of the X and Y axes of points 2 and 3.
Point 2
: Using point 1 as a reference, position this point on the X or Y axis.
Point 3
: Using point 1 as a reference, position this point on the X or Y axis.
Point 4
: Position this point diagonally opposite point 1, at the intersection of the X and Y axes of points 2 and 3.
(1) Select AXIS as the registration mark mode, and then select the number of points for reading. (See Section 4.2,
"Setting the Registration Mark Mode".)
(2) With the plotter in Ready status, press the
