SU-2 Suspension System

Anti-roll bar & leveling system of air suspension
1. Outline of air suspension system
Air spring, the elastic component of air suspension, which
consists of a sealed rubber vessel filled with compressed air,
realizes its elasticity by making use of the compressibility of air.
When the load on the spring increases, the air is compressed and the air
pressure rises, leading to increased spring stiffness, and vice versa.
The air flow of the air suspension system is regulated by a control
valve. The control rod connected between the frame and the axle moves
up and down with the axle to open or close the valve, which decides the
air supply or exhaust for maintaining the height between the axle and
the frame at the set value.
For specific auto models, the space between the axle and the frame
(or body), so-called “suspension height”, is set by the length of the control rod. If the suspension height is found to be
different from the calibrated value, it can be adjusted by changing the length of the telescopic control rod.
XML6125J93C adopts ECAS electric air suspension control system of WABCO company, by which the mechanical
leveling valve is substituted by electric valve, thus more functions are available besides the control are performance
improvement.
