How to judge if the ECAS system is working properly:
When ignition switch is turned on, the alarm light and height indicator are illuminated for 2 seconds before
flameout.
Illumination of height indicator (yellow) indicates that the current height is not the normal height. If the vehicle is
under efficient pressure, the yellow light shall be out when pressing the normal height resuming button.
Illumination of trouble indicator (red) indicates that ECAS system is in trouble.
When there exists troubles, the alarm light will keep illuminated (not severe) or flashing (severe) depending on the
trouble seriousness, to alarm the driver of the trouble.
Reasons causing to indicator illumination
Permanent fla
shing
Yellow indicator Red trouble indicator
Illuminated for 2 seconds after the ignition switch is turned on
Diver shall check the bulbs
Indicated height unequal to normal height
It needs raising/descending
One defect not so serious:
Might be that there is no speed signal or the height
can not be monitored completely
Undervoltage
Between 735 and 18V
Possible troubles:
Example: vehicle body not raised though the solenoid
valve is stimulated
Road surface induction equipment stimulated
Indicator and trouble light flash alternatively
2times/second
Underpressure Severe defect: height can not be monitored or
controlled
Defected road surface induction: 2
flashes/second, trouble light keep lit
ECU is in test mode
