2.4.5. Charge the Batteries for the 1st Time
Due to shipment, the batteries are partially drained when the package is delivered to you.
Be sure to charge the batteries to full when you are charging them for the 1st time. To
charge the batteries:
1. Install the batteries to the computer as described in 2.4.3. Install Batteries on page
21 .
2. Connect the computer to external power source.
The battery status LED on the computer ‘s front bezel, either or , will light
orange to signify the battery is being charged. See also Status LED on page 12 to
monitor the battery charging status.
Normally it takes 4 hours to charge the battery to full. When the charging finishes, the
battery status LED on the computer‘s front bezel, either
or , will light green
to signify the battery is fully charged. See also Status LED on page 12 to monitor
the battery charging status.
And also note the following:
• It’s recommended not to charge intermittently, which means not to plug and unplug
the power adapter frequently in short period of time.
• Be sure to read 2.4.6.1. Instructions for Rechargeable Battery Pack to know how to
store and use the batteries
