5.5. Security
The
Security
menu sets up the passwords for the system’s user account and the
administrator account.
Password Description
If ONLY the Administrator’s password is set,
then this only limits access to Setup and is
only asked for when entering Setup.
If ONLY the User’s password is set, then this
is a power on password and must be entered to
boot or enter Setup. In Setup the User will
have Administrator rights.
The password must be

Description
Administrator Password
Sets up an administrator password. To set up an administrator
password:
1.
Select
Administrator Password
.
An
Create New Password
dialog then opens onscreen.
2.
Enter your desired password that is no less than 3 characters and
no more than 20 characters
3.
Hit [Enter] key to submit.
Once the administrator password is set up, this BIOS Setup
utility is limited to access and will ask for the password each
time any access is attempted.
User Password
Sets up a generic user's password. Follow the guide above to set it
up.
Once the user password is set up, the computer will ask for the
password before the operating system can start.
