Power and Charging
The wagon must be connected to the tractor for the floor control solenoid (if fitted) to
function and to charge the system battery.
When load cells are fitted, the forage wagon also includes a battery. This is charged
automatically from the tractor power. The tractor does not need to be running (but can be)
for this to happen but the wagon does need to be plugged in and power turned on. If the
battery is flat, this will usually take 7-8 hours depending on the age, state, and cycling
pattern the battery has experienced.
The Controller will continue to measure and report weight for approx 20 minutes after the
tractor has been disconnected. This enables the operator to load the wagon using the
tractor and still read the wagon weight. It then turns itself off if not plugged into the tractor
within this time.
If the controller begins to lose communication or the weight reading becomes unstable
with the forage wagon when unplugged, it may be because the battery is weak or flat. The
battery voltage indicator should show this.
