5. Use fresh clean-room cleaning
cloth (KO-TON-R) and Tangit KS
cleaner.
6. Clean the inner and outer surface
of the pipes and fittings.
7.
Then, face the pipe / fitting ends
with the BCF Plus facer, so that
the facing surface of the parts to
be fused are at a right angle,
smooth (permissible gap of
0.5 mm) and free of burrs
.
8. Clean
(dry)
the inner and outer
surface of the pipes and fittings
in
the fusion area
.
Pipe ends must be free of grease, oil and shavings.
Clean very thoroughly!
After cleaning the fusion zone, please make sure that no one touches the
surfaces again and that they are completely dry before starting the fusion
process.
If, due to inadequate cleaning of the heating station, piping components should
stick in the heating bush, the heating station should be heated up again, as
described in Chapter 18.4 in order to remove the components.
