11 Perfect fusion joints
The most important prerequisites for perfect fusion joints are:
Trained
personnel,
instructed
in the BCF Plus plastic fusion technology.
Only
one person
may operate the machine at the work place and oversee
the set pipe data.
The
pipe data
must agree with the pipe / fitting in the clamp.
Strictly follow the
work steps
shown on the display.
Maintain
a
working temperature
b 10 °C and + 40 °C.
Make sure the
work environment
is clean and dry.
Only
join
homogenous materials
with the same nominal
wall thickness
(max. permissible wall offset of 10%).
Use
the
prescribed cleaning agents
on the pipe ends to be fusion jointed.
The use of the wrong cleaning agents can lead to faulty fusion results. It is
also important that the pipe ends to be fusion jointed and the bladder are
dry
before starting the fusion process.
