Place 3-5
drops of Daily Maintenance Solution onto a new Anticon-covered swab.
CAUTION: It is critical that you only the specified drops of Daily Maintenance
Solution to moisten each Anticon wipe-covered swab. Using more than the
recommended amount will over-saturate the swab and may allow the printhead
vacuum pressure to absorb excess solution into the printhead itself. If this happens,
the extra solution will dilute the GerberCAT ink causing it not to cure properly
during printing.
9
Use one side of an Anticon wipe-covered swab to clean the left-most printhead. Wipe
the printhead from back to front 2 times at a 45
°
angle, using light pressure, by holding
the swab as close as possible to the middle of the stick, between the thumb and index
finger as pictured below.
NOTE: There are two printheads for each color.
10
Reposition the Anticon wipe over the foam-tipped swab so that a new, clean area is
located at the swab tip. Apply 3-5 drops of Daily Maintenance Solution and then wipe
the 2
nd
printhead of the same color repeating the previous step.
CAUTION: Never reuse old swabs to clean the printhead. Never use the same
Anticon-covered swab on two different color printheads.
11
Repeat the previous steps, using a new Anticon wipe-covered swab for each color set
of printheads. The printer prompts you to
Raise shelf when done
.
NOTE: Prior to raising the Maintenance Shelf, be sure to complete previous procedure for all
printheads prior to proceeding.
