Common Printer Messages
Description
Check Shelf, Access Door,
and E-Stops
Maintenance shelf is open, head access door has been removed, or
emergency stop button has been pressed and the printer can not
proceed. Correct condition to continue.
Clean the Purge Block
Displays during the clear ink line procedure. Wipe the bottom of the
purge block with a dry swab to absorb any ink drips.
Close all Ink Drawers
Close any open ink drawers.
Close all purge valves
Displays during ink procedures. Use the 2mm Allen wrench to close
the purge valves for the ink color(s) that were purged.
Close “INK COLOR” Purge
Valve 1; Open Valve 2
Displays during ink purge procedure. Use the 2mm Allen wrench to
close the first valve that was purged and then open the next valve to be
purged.
Close Valve 1; Open Valve
2 - all colors
Displays during ink procedures. Use the 2mm Allen wrench to close
the purge valves for the ink color(s) that were purged.

Ink reservoir pressure is decreasing prior to next step in a procedure.
ENTER=Vacuum On
CANCEL=Vacuum Off
Permits operator to activate or deactivate the roll-to-roll platen vacuum
before printing.
Head Cleaning
Displays during a Clean Heads procedure.
“INK COLOR” Empty
An ink pouch is empty. The printer pauses until a new ink pouch is
installed and the reservoir fills. A suspended job may continue after
refilling.
Ink Empty - Replace Pouch
Printer prompts use to replace empty ink pouch.
Ink “Color” Empty –

Printer prompts use to replace appropriate empty ink pouch.
Lamp Delay is ON/OFF
Displays to indicate the status of Lamp Delay mode.
Lamp Spec mode is
NORMAL/HIGH
Displays to indicate the status of Lamp Spec mode. NORMAL is the
default; HIGH operates the lamps at a higher temperature.
Large Field is ON/OFF
Displays to indicate the status of Large Field mode. Large Field ON
improves the appearance of large areas of solid color, especially light
blue or green. Large Field is OFF by default.
Loading “component” F/W
or FPGA.
Leave power switch on.
Displays when individual component firmware is in the process of
being updated. A progress bar displays. Printer power must remain on
or errors will occur. Wait until update is complete.
Loading Material
The printer is performing required steps to load the material.
Lower Shelf
Displays during ink maintenance procedures. Lower the maintenance
shelf to gain access to the heads.
Lower shelf and swab
printheads
Open maintenance shelf and swab printheads with swabs moistened
with one drop of GerberCAT Flush Solution.
