Troubleshooting

Carriage is striking 10 foot (3m) rigid material over the roll-to-roll platen
Cause
Solution
Notes
The edge of the rigid material is raised
up.
Tape down the material over
the roll-to-roll platen to
compensate for less vacuum
pressure.
See “Loading the Flat Bed” on
page 42.
The roll-to-roll platen and flat bed table
are at different heights.
Seek technical assistance.
Ink is leaking near the ink supply box

The ink pouch is not installed correctly.
Ensure that the pouch is
inserted properly in the
drawer, the pouch valve is
seated fully downward in its
port, and the drawer is
completely closed.

page 34. If the problem
persists seek technical
assistance.
Ink leaks from the pouch when it is
removed from the printer.
Ink pouch valve is broken;
replace the pouch.

Ink is dripping out of the heads

Syslog address may be invalid.
Go to the Network Settings
web page and ensure syslog
server is same address as
system webpage is you are
using logging software. If
you are not running logging
software, ensure syslog
address is set to 0.0.0.0.

Using an old version of ONYX Rip
and/or driver.
Update to the latest version
of ONYX and the latest
drivers.
System log may display
errors 800 or 801.
Gateway address is incorrect.
Contact your network
administrator for your
correct Gateway address.
