The user styles
You may wish to start recording your Style from a different track that is not
default set one (Drums). Use the (F1/F5) Function keys to select the desired
track among the following ones. In this example the recording start from
Drums track.
Selecting a different recording track -
[Optional Step]
It is possible to select a different RIFF to record. Use the
+/-
buttons in the numeric keypad to select the desired RIFF.
In this example the RIFF recorded is
basic Major
in the Drums track.

Note:
Recording from the Drums track fi rst will set the TEMPO that will be applied
to the other tracks recorded successively.
Selecting a different RIFF -
[Optional Step]
Note:
If some User Styles have already been loaded to the machine memory, select the fi rst available (empty) location. Alternatively,
you can disengage a location, erasing the contents with the Clear Style function, explained in detail in the relative paragraph.
Up to 16 measures for each RIFF can be recorded.
USER STYLE Basic parameters setting: the Time Signature , the Pitch (key transposing), the Beat number -[Optional Step]
To change the basic parameters, press the MODE function button. As soon
as the User Style recording mode is enables, the default settings of the
automatically selected RIFF are:
Setting the Time Signature
The Tempo counter blinks in the display. Press the CURSOR button to move the fl ashing cursor and rotate the DIAL to enter
the desired value. The Time Signature available values are the following ones:

Changing the Pitch
Press the CURSOR key to move the fl ashing cursor and rotate the
DIAL to select the desired pitch

Rotate the DIAL to enter the desired value

Press the CURSOR button to move the fl ashing cursor

Rotate the DIAL to select the number of beats
Press the ESCAPE button to exit and return to User Style recording mode.

The indication of the current key note (
[C]
in our case) will start blinking
in the display.
Setting the Pitch keeps your Style always in tune as it automatically
transposes the chords to the selected key even when the Style is changed
during playback. The recommended pitch is
[C]
for Major chord Riffs,
[D]
for minor chord Riffs and
[G]
for 7th chord Riffs.
To set the number of beats in a RIFF
