4.6.1.1 COMPUTER SETTINGS
In
COMPUTER SETTINGS
box the user can configure computer communication settings, besides the connection
(Control Type) and Startup Mode.
Control Type
defines the connection type that is going to be used:
•
No control type
for serial connection (front RS232 or rear RS485),
•
ModBus/TCP
for Ethernet connection (by means of a serial/TCP converter). When this option is chosen, the serial
configuration data disappears and a new box appears at the right to configure the IP address, the port number and the
unit id.

MODEM CONNECTION
for modem serial connection. The modem configuration options appear at the right when this
option is chosen.
Defaults
button returns the values to the factory default ones.
4.6.1.2 COMMUNICATION CONTROL
In
COMMUNICATIONS CONTROL
box the user can view the communication status (communicating to a relay or not),
connect to a relay when the right parameters are entered in the Computer Settings box (
ON
button), or disconnect from
the relay when desired (
OFF
button).
Once the connection is established, when the user accesses any Setpoint or Operations, or Actual – Event Recorder

menu entries for the first time, the program will ask the relay password. The following window will appear:
