Reinstalling the back box
Once all connections to the DVR back box are made, follow the steps below to reassemble
the DVR.
1. Check for any screws that may be loose.
2. Tighten wiring inside the back box as the cover plate is pressed into place.
3. Securely fasten the cover plate using the previously removed screws. Do not cross-
thread or overtighten the screws.
4. Insert the back box into the DVR outer housing.
5. Gently rock the back box into place with an even pressure applied to opposite sides
of the cover plate. It should eventually snap into place.
6. When properly aligned, the back box retaining screws easily secure the assembly.
Maintenance plug
The maintenance plug (
) lets you start or shut down the MobileView 4 DVR
manually. You might need to force a manual shutdown to remove and/or swap the hard
drive caddy. It is also useful to force DVR shutdown for routine maintenance purposes.
