STEP 4—CONFIGURE THE REMOTE RADIO
The instructions below summarize essential Remote settings for
tabletop testing. For detailed log-in and menu navigation instructions,
see
CHAPTER 4 REMOTE RADIO MANAGEMENT, beginning on
Page 99 .
Log-in and Configuration
Prepare the Remote for configuration as follows:
1. Connect a PC to the
COM1
port on the radio.
2. Establish a terminal session (using HyperTerminal, for example)
using the following data parameters:
• 19200 bps
• 8 bits
• no parity
• one stop bit (8N1)
