Overview
1-1-1 Purpose of this Chapter
This chapter describes important issues related to safely servicing the
Voluson E8
,
Voluson E8 Expert
and/or
Voluson E6
ultrasound system. The service provider must read and understand all the
information presented in this manual before installing or servicing a system.
Under consideration of general maintenance requirements a minimum lifetime of 7 years for the
equipment and 5 years for the probes may be expected. Have the system checked and serviced in
regular intervals (once per year) by authorized service personnel.

Contains instructions on how to make available adjustments.

Provides procedures for running diagnostic or related
routines.

Provides disassembly procedures and reassembly
procedures for all Field Replaceable Units (FRU) and Customer Replaceable Units (CRU).
