This approach provides a simple and reliable way to monitor the device status. The Block Error
parameter is part of the Resource or Transducer block dynamic views and most hosts read
the dynamic parameters on a regular basis.
The BLOCK_ERR parameter reports also FF standard errors, including:
Block Configuration
Simulate Active
Memory Failure
Static Data Lost, etc.
The disadvantage of this approach is that it creates additional traffic on the bus – the host is
polling the device on a regular basis.
