Port LED Status Indicators for RJ-45 ports (available on 86418-61 and
86418-64 paddleboard modules)
Each port has 2 LEDs for status monitoring:
Amber “ALERT”:
Double-wink pattern when port is user-disabled
On for any bad received frame (500ms update)
Green “LINK”
Steady ON when link is “UP” (receiving Link
pulses)
Flashes ON when receiving Ethernet traffic
Flashes ON when outputting Ethernet traffic

Received Ethernet Bad-Frame Counters
Long Frames:
Correct FCS but too long:
1,633 to 2,032 Bytes
(longer frames are counted as “Jabber”)
Jabber Frames:
Frames > 1632 Bytes with bad FCS, or odd
number of bits
Frames > 2,032 Bytes
Short Frames:
Correct FCS but < 64 Bytes:
Fragments:
Bad FCS and < 64 Bytes:
Bad-CRC
Bad FCS (and correct-length, i.e.64 to 1632
Bytes)
