Clock Fail
– Line Port is not connected;
CBW Rate
– The local Line Port Mode setting (see Line Setup tab)
is not matching the CBW port mode set on the JMUX unit
43
.
AIS
– Path AIS detected;
Bad BER
– Path (B3) error rate exceeds threshold;
Mismatch
– The received and transmitted patterns in the Path
Overhead‟s F2 (7:0) and Z2 (7:4) bytes are mismatched (see the
description for “Rcv STS-1 Paths” bellow). Indicates one of the
following:
-
The received STS-1 SPE is not from an ETHER-1000 or
ETHER-100 unit, or
-
The received STS-1 SPE has been assigned to a wrong TDM
pipe (at either or both ends), or
-
The far-end unit is not set to use the same number of SPE slots
for this TDM pipe
44
, or
-
The STS-1 SPE is received in a wrong SPE slot i.e. the order of
STS-1 SPEs received in this TDM pipe has been changed with
respect to their order at the far end.
RDI
– Abnormal condition of the transmitted STS-1 SPE (as
received at the far-end unit);
L/R Mismatch
– Inter-ETHER-1000/ETHER-100 connection is not
Left to Right.
OK
– The status of this STS-1 Path is OK.
Note
: This field is blanked out if the Line port is disabled for the
selected TDM pipe or the STS-1 SPE does not belong to the selected
TDM pipe. A „-„ is displayed if the STS-1 SPE is available but not
assigned to any TDM pipe.
Rcv STS-1 Paths
Each STS-1 SPE sourced by an ETHER-1000 unit carries a 12-bit
pattern in the Path Overhead bytes F2[7:0] and Z2[7:4]. The pattern
consists of the following three parameters:
TDM#
The TDM pipe to which the STS-1 path was assigned at the
source. The information is carried in Z2[5:4]. The values
(0,0), (0,1), (1,0) and (1,1) correspond to the TDM pipe #1,
#2, #3 and #4, respectively.
43
If the Line Port is connected to a cascaded ETHER-1000 unit, this indicates that the Line Port
Mode settings on the two units are not matching.
44
If the far-end unit connected to this TDM pipe is ETHER-100, its Qty Slots field setting is not
matching the total number of slots assigned to this TDM pipe locally.
