Monitor Port
For test purposes, one port can be set as a monitor port. The selection
of local ports that will be feeding their ingress (IN) and/or egress (OUT)
traffic to the Monitor port is made in the Monitored Traffic column.
Note:
For proper operation, the monitor and monitored ports must
have compatible Port Type settings and they must belong to the same
D-PVLAN.
Monitored Traffic
Possible selections are:
-
This port is not mirroring traffic (default).
IN
This port‟s ingress traffic is mirrored to the monitor port.
OUT
This port‟s egress traffic is mirrored to the monitor port.
IN+OUT
This port‟s ingress and egress traffic is mirrored to the
monitor port.
Note:
This field is grayed out and disabled for monitor ports. The
whole column is grayed out and disabled if none of the ports is set as a
monitor port.
Caveat:
Any egressing local-to-local unicast frame whose DA is known
(i.e. present in the “LAN” MAC address table) will not be mirrored until
at least one frame from the DA‟s owner is received.
Copy Port 1 Config to ports 2-6, G1, G2
Copies all configuration settings made for Port #1 to Ports #2 to #6 and
to ports G1 and G2.
