touch the steam wand during steam generation. Hold the steam wand during opera-
tion cautiously by the attachment. Be careful not to scald yourself.
Note:
You can swivel the steam wand as desired in order to work comfortably. Hold the
steam wand only by the dark attachment.
8. If the volume of the milk increases in the frothing jug, hold the attachment a little
deeper into the milk to heat the milk well. Hold the frothing jug with one hand
on the handle.
ATTENTION:
The frothing jug bottom and the frothing jug can be very hot due
to the steam.
IMPORTANT:
Make sure that the milk does not run over the top of the attachment.
Otherwise, the appliance will not work properly.
WARNING:
Never remove the steam wand from the milk, as long as steam is
escaping. Otherwise, hot milk splash out of the frothing jug. Turn the selector switch
always first to center into the ›standby‹-position before you remove the frothing jug
from the steam wand. Only thereby the steam generation is terminated immediately.
9. Once the milk has the desired texture and is sufficiently heated (to control you can
gently touch the bottom of the frothing jug - but you do not scald yourself), turn
the selector switch in the middle into the standby position, and turn the appliance
off. Only then remove the frothing jug down from the steam wand.
IMPORTANT:
Clean the attachment after each use so that the milk does not dry on
top (see: ›Care and Cleaning‹).
10. Pour the hot milk into your prepared espresso and add the milk froth with a spoon
on top.
Note:
Turn after each steam operation the selector switch to the standby position (center),
so that the appliance can vent.
