Problem
Possible Reason
The Solution
No steam, no hot water. The machine is not live, not
turned on, or did not reach
operating temperature.
Ensure the machine is plugged in and the POWER button
is illuminated continuously (not flashing). It may take
some seconds until steam is brought forth.
The water tank is empty.
Fill the water tank. The filling level must lie between
250m (MIN) and 1800ml (MAX).
The control dial is not in the
right steam position.
Turn the control dial to the right (clockwise) to the stop.
The steam wand is clogged. Turn the control dial to standby, switch off the appliance,
let the steam wand cool down. Try to open the nozzle
(small hole in the tip of the steam wand) using the pin
of the steam wand tool. If the problem persists, clean
the steam wand as described in chapter >Cleaning the
Steam Wand<.
Not enough milk texture. The steam wand is blocked. Clean the steam wand. See: >Cleaning the Steam
Wand<.
The milk is not fresh and/or
not cold enough.
Use refrigerated and really fresh milk for texturing. See:
>Texturing Milk<.
Different brands and types
of milk and milk alternatives
will texture differently.
You may need to vary your texturing method. Give it a
try. See: >Texturing Milk<.
The machine is ‘on’ but
ceases to operate.
Possibly, the overheat pro-
tection is active.
Turn the machine off. Wait for 60 minutes. Then try
again. If the problem persists, call an authorized Service
Centre.
