How to change the network configuration of the
HardBoot plus
:
Press the
M
key to change the settings displayed in the configuration menu. After-
wards, various configuration settings are displayed:
1. Reset configuration to default values (Y/N)?
If you want to change the settings of the
HardBoot plus
, press the
N
key follo-
wed by the enter key.
To reset the default settings, press the
Y
key followed by the enter key. Now,
the
HardBoot plus
restarts.
2. Should this target obtain IP settings from the network [N]?
If a DHCP server is operated within the network, the
HardBoot plus
requests an IP
address from the DHCP server. As an alternative, the network configuration can
also be carried out manually.
If you want to collect the network parameter manually, press the
N
key follo-
wed by the enter key.
If you want to activate the usage of a DHCP server, press the
Y
key followed by
the enter key. Confirm the following three settings with the enter key. After-
wards, the
HardBoot plus
reboots.
3. Static IP address [192.168.100.100]?
Collect the IP address of the
HardBoot plus
and press the enter key afterwards.
4. Subnet Mask IP address [255.255.255.0]?
Collect the subnet mask of the
HardBoot plus
and press the enter key after-
wards.
5. Gateway IP address [0.0.0.0]?
Collect the IP address of the Gateway and press the enter key afterwards.
In the following settings, the parenthesis show which setting is currently active.
If you want to take over these settings and therefore carry on with the next
step, press the enter key.
To control the
HardBoot plus
with the software
HardBoot view
at all times, the
allocation of a permanent IP address is recommended.
Ask the network administrator for the IP address of the
HardBoot plus
if you pre-
fer to use the DHCP server. The IP address is required to access the
HardBoot plus
with
HardBoot view
.
Confirm the following three settings with the enter key. These settings are not
relevant for operating the
HardBoot plus
with the supplied software
HardBoot view
.
