Backup LDAP Server 

LDAP directory server which is maintained as the backup server and 
used as the directory server if 

LDAP Server 1

 fails.

IP address or DSN name of the Backup LDAP server.

 LDAP port of the Backup LDAP server.

LDAP SSL Port

Secure LDAP port of the Backup LDAP server

Department Name

 

Department name. The directory service needs the department 
name in order to determine the user permissions. A user may have 
different permissions for the department X server than for the 
department Y server.

Base DN

The 

Base DN

 is the fully distinguished name of the eDirectory or Open 

LDAP server and represents the tree or subtree that contains the OU 
(Organizational Unit) 

SVS
