Basic hardware procedures

Shut down the server (1).

If the system is running an ACPI-compliant operating system,
pressing the On / Off button will perform a graceful shutdown.

Switch on the ID indicator on the front and rear connector panels of the
server as described in section
"Locating the defective server" on page 56

If there are installed two power supplies remove both power cords.

Open on the locking lever on the PSU cable clamp (1).
Ê
Disconnect the power cord from the PSU and remove it from the cable tie
(2).
