2.3.5.1 Mounting conditions of PCI cards
Table 2.8 contains the mounting conditions of PCI cards for the PRIMEQUEST
series.
z A LAN card can be mounted only in a 100-MHz PCI slot within an IO_Unit or
PCI_Box.
z A SCSI card can be mounted only in PCI Slot #1 or PCI Slot #3 of an IO_Unit with
a priority rank of 1 or 2 (see
Table 2.9 ).
z A Fibre Channel (FC) Card can be mounted in any PCI slot.

Y: Slot in which the card can be mounted
*1: A SCSI card can be mounted only in PCI Slot #1 or PCI Slot #3 of an IO_Unit
with a priority rank of 1 or 2 (see Table 2.9 ). If two or more partitions are
defined and operated, these priority ranks apply to each partition.
*2: An SAN-bootable FC card can be mounted in only PCI Slot#1 and PCI Slot#3
of an IO_Unit with a priority rank 1 or 2 (see Table 2.9 ). When two or more
partitions are defined for operation, these priority ranks apply to each partition
(same conditions as the SCSI card slots in *1).
*3 The PCI slot numbers of the PCI units in the PCI_Box are PCI Slot#1, PCI
Slot#2, and PCI Slot#0 from the left when viewed from the front.
