The value following byte 4 of the device serial number in the VPD information is indicated in this
field. Higher order digits which do not contain valid numbers are filled with ASCII code spaces (X

that the device server does not support information units.

o. Version Descriptor field

This field is provided for identifying up to eight standards to which the Device claims conformance.
