Troubleshooting
General
The devices are equipped with an intelligent safety system. This means that to a large ex-
tent it has been possible to dispense with melting-type fuses. Melting-type fuses therefore
no longer need to be replaced. After a possible malfunction has been remedied, the device
is ready for use again.

Make a note of the serial number and configuration of the device and contact our After-
Sales Service team with a detailed description of the error, if

Power source has no function
Mains switch is on, but indicators are not lit up
Cause:
There is a break in the mains lead; the mains plug is not plugged in
Remedy:
Check the mains lead, ensure that the mains plug is plugged in
Cause:
Mains socket or mains plug faulty
Remedy:
Replace faulty parts
Cause:
Mains fuse protection
Remedy:
Change the mains fuse protection
Nothing happens when the torch trigger is pressed
Power source mains switch is ON and indicators are lit up
Cause:
Only for welding torches with an external control plug: The control plug is not
plugged in
Remedy:
Plug in the control plug
Cause:
Welding torch or welding torch control line is faulty
Remedy:
Replace welding torch

age. The following activities must only be carried out by trained and qualified per-
sonnel. Observe the safety rules in the power source operating instructions.

An electric shock can be fatal. Before opening the unit

Turn the mains switch to the "O" position

Unplug the device from the mains

Put up an easy-to-understand warning sign to stop anybody inadvertently
switching it back on again

Using a suitable measuring device, check to make sure that electrically
charged components (e.g. capacitors) have discharged
CAUTION!
Inadequate PE conductor connections can cause serious injury and
damage. The housing screws provide a suitable PE conductor connection for
earthing (grounding) the housing and must NOT be replaced by any other screws
which do not provide a reliable PE conductor connection.
